Butter Chicken Recipe

A recipe that people love to get for one of their favorite Indian Curry, none other than Creamy Butter Chicken. With my many years of experience as a Chef, I like to pass on to many others. The sauce we called it Gravy is perfect when it’s not too thick or thin but creamy.

One of our Popular Indian dishes which everyone likes to prepare at home is Butter Chicken. Pieces of Chicken with our creamy sauce. Today we are going to Prepare Butter chicken in Our Style.

Recipe Name: Butter Chicken | Serves: 4 | Ready to Serve: 60 min
Prep Time required: 15 min approx | Cooking: 45- 50 min approx

Ingredients

  • We prefer 700 g chicken pieces or breast chopped into small pieces.
  • Butter Chicken Curry served with Naan or Garlic Naan will be perfect serve

How to make Sauce

  • 2 Tsp of Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Large Onion Chopped
  • 1Tsp of Ghee or Butter
  • 200 gm of Diced puree or Crushed tomatoes puree
  • 1½ tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 ½ tbsp Cashew Nut paste
  • 1 Tsp of Salt
  • 1 Tsp of Red Chilli Powder ( Adjust as per your preference Mild, Medium or Hot)
  • ½ tsp Ground fenugreek
  • 100 ml of thickened Full Cream

How to make Chicken Marinade

  • ½ Cup or 100 ml Yoghurt
  • 2 or 1 ½ Tsp of Garam Masala
  • 1 ½ Tsp of Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 ½ Tsp of Lemon Juice
  • 1 1 Tsp of Red Chilli powder
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Cumin seed or fenugreek

How to Cook instruction :

Step 1. In a Deep pan, Combine all ingredients which we prepare for Chicken Marinade along with chicken pieces and mix properly. Then the Actual marinating process starts and allows a minimum of 30 to 1 hour (or even 24 hours if you can allow it as it’s no harm).

Step 2. While we are waiting for Marination, Heat up your pan with a little drip of oil and after 1 or 2 minutes of sizzle, add chicken pieces. Fry your chicken until it’s browned or even you can place chicken into a baking tray and let it bake in pre- pre-heated oven to 200’c for up to 15 minutes or until browned.

Step 3. To make Sauce, heat oil or Butter in Pan at medium Flame, and add the onion. Saute Onion for approx 3-4 min and add Ginger Garlic paste and saute for 1 min along with Garam masala and Chilli powder. Now add Tomato puree diced or crushed and season with salt and garam Masala and Cashew nut paste. Let it cook for 10-15 min and stir occasionally. Stir until sauce thickens and looks brown-red color sauce.

Step 4. Now, Sauce which we made in the pan move to Blender until smooth and add a few teaspoons of water to make it blend. Pour the sauce back in the pan and stir it with the cream, add sugar (depend on your taste) and fenugreek leaves if you want.

Step 5. Add the chicken pieces and cook it for 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked through soft and tender in taste and the sauce is thick.

Step 6. All Ready to garnish with Chopped Coriander and Serve with Soft delicious Garlic naan and Rice.
