Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients for the Marinade:
- 3 tablespoons Mustard Oil
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Paste
- 1 teaspoon Ginger Paste
- 1/2 cup thick Curds (Yogurt)
- 2 teaspoons Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tablespoon Coriander Powder
- 1 teaspoon Chaat Masala
- 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 teaspoon crushed Kasuri Methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Prepare the Marinade:
In a bowl, add ½ cup of thick curd (yogurt). Then, add all the spices (red chili powder, coriander powder, chaat masala, garam masala, and kasuri methi). Mix everything well until the spices are fully blended with the yogurt. - Marinate the Vegetables and Paneer:
Add ½ onion (cut into petals), ½ cubed capsicum (bell pepper), and 5-7 cubes of paneer to the marinade. Also, add 1 tsp of mustard oil. Mix everything well, ensuring that the vegetables and paneer are evenly coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. - Skewer the Paneer & Vegetables:
After marination, take the marinated paneer, onions, and capsicum and thread them onto wooden skewers. - Cook:
Heat a tawa (griddle) or preheat the oven (grill setting). Roast the skewers on the tawa or grill them in the oven until the paneer is golden brown and slightly charred on the edges, about 15-20 minutes. - Finish and Serve:
Once done, sprinkle a little chaat masala on top for extra flavor. Serve the Paneer Tikka immediately with some mint chutney and lemon wedges for a perfect treat!
